I just got some really good news from my mom.
As I’ve written many times in the past, we’re trying to find a house to buy when we move back to Arkansas.
I have the pre-approval financing paperwork sitting on my desk right now. I know I need to fill it out, but right now I think I’d rather have a couple of teeth pulled.
Anyway, back to Mom and her news.
She called to shoot the shit and mentioned that one of my uncles is “highly” interested in working out a lease-purchase agreement with us.
How much does that rock?!
I won’t have to fill out all of the paperwork and go through the hassle of getting a loan. We won’t have to worry about getting into a price war with another potential buyer. It really is the best option for us right now since this would allow us to get into a larger, nicer house for less cash.
I have a ton of books lined up for review right now. The Sky Isn’t Visible from Here is one that I’ve just started reading. It’s another memoir of sorts and though I’m not that far into it, I’m enjoying the story [It sounds odd to say I’m enjoying reading about child abuse, but it’s well written]
Another is Dadditude. I was contacted by the author, Philip Lerman, to review it and though I have a couple in the que in front of Lerman’s book, I have read the first few pages and I don’t think that I’m going to be disappointed.
You know, one of these days I will write one continuous post but today is not that day.
Some of you guys really amaze me with your writing. You take a mundane routine and turn it into a wonderful story. I think that I used to be able to do that but here lately I’ve misplaced that ability.
So, to everyone who’s stuck it out [and is still sticking with me] I really appreciate it.
