Why is it that almost every woman that the media interviews concerning the elections always says, “I’m voting for Hillary because she’s a woman and I’m a woman and we need a woman president.”
I really don’t understand this line of thinking.
Does that mean that if you’re black, you should automatically vote for Obama just because he’s black.
Isn’t that selling yourself a bit short?
What happened to voting for a candidate because you agreed with their foreign policy or their stance on border security and the economy?
That’s fine if you gravitate to Clinton because of her gender; every candidate has an “angle”. BUT, don’t stop at gender. Actually investigate the views and opinions of your chosen candidate!
This is an election year, people!
If you live in one of the big primary states, there are going to be reports crawling around everywhere.
You owe it to yourself to do your homework and give a better response to the question, “Who are you voting for and why?” than :
“Because [insert name here] is black/white/male/female and I’m black/white/male/female and we need a black/white/male/female president.”
