I guess we should say easier then others and not good or bad. But that is how I refer to my two kids based on how well they slept and how often they cried!! I had one good baby and one bad baby!! lol! They are both great but I think people would sign up to watch the second one more than they did my first

I think you do a fine job with your “bad” baby (who is not so much a baby anymore, and who wasn’t “bad” to start with). I thought you did fine with her almost 2 years ago. You told me then that you wouldn’t know what to do with a kid like mine. I replied that I wouldn’t know what to do with a kid like yours. Well, shit… 2 years later and look at us…

Personally, I think we’re both doing a fine job with #2 as well.

As far as the comment on taking your one week old, so you can have a break… Remember that crazy girl at my last duty station that tried to breastfeed Jack… At least you don’t have anyone trying to do that!

I guess if one baby is “easier” than the other that makes the other one bad? My “bad” baby was just different. Who could expect both kids to be the same. I also agree that all newborns are good and if one happens to need to sleep/cry more than the other it is just a personality difference. Oh and yes I hated when people asked me if I wanted I break. I waited nine months to spend time with the kid, I kinda want to enjoy it, so leave me alone!!!

I agree — all babies are “good” some are just easeir than others…. but they are all good

and yes, after a week….. you don’t need “a break” — ask again in a couple of months

I think second babies are easier in general – but I think in my case it was because I was so much more comfortable having been through it once already

People always told me how Mira was such a better baby than Cordy, because Cordy was always fussy. It irked me, too. She’s only “better” in that she didn’t piss us off as much. Babies cry, they have needs, and some have more needs than others – it doesn’t make them a bad baby.
