Well not the exact reasons why my dad and I had a strained relationship, but I totally understand what you are saying. My dad lives less than 10 min from me, unless we call him he doesn't do too much with us, I get the occasional text from him and we talk about photography. He won't come to birthday parties or anything I host if my mom is invited and may show up. It is really sad because as crappy as mom I had, she too is a rockin' grandma.
