At 7:59 this morning, Cara officially turned two.

Oliver wasn’t impressed.

My dad actually showed up and came bearing a tricycle.  Not the tricycle that I wrote about previously [and that he knew about] but whatever.  It just annoys me that he knew the specific tricycle that we were going to get her and he had told me that he was NOT getting it for her because it was too expensive.  Then, instead of just getting her something else [or nothing at all cause I told him he didn’t have to get anything], he still shows up with a tricycle…just not the one we wanted to get her.

Whatever.  He showed up which shocked the hell out of me and spent time with Cara without making her scream too much.

Some of our friends drove from Alabama to come to Cara’s party.

"Do you have any junk in your trunk?"

The cupcakes turned out damn tasty but the butter cream frosting tasted like…well…sweet butter. The highpoint of Saturday was when I had to take both kids to the grocery store at the ass crack of dawn [with no bra on] to get vanilla extract. That was fun. I was also wearing a pair of maternity pants [even though I’m not pregnant and they were falling off my ass] and one of Tucker’s shirts.

I looked hawt!

The spinach artichoke dip was awesome and I figured that I would share the recipe since I’m nice and it’s THAT GOOD!

Crazy Spinach Artichoke Dip
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup shredded parm cheese

1 8oz cream cheese cubed

1 clove of garlic minced

1 can artichokes drained and chopped

1/4 tsp black pepper

1 lb fresh or frozen spinach

combine all ingredients in crock pot

cook on high for 2 hours

serve with tortilla chips

On a completely unrelated note [cause I NEVER do that], the winner of the autism book giveaway is Decemberbaby.  Yay, Decemberbaby!

Hmm…I know I had more things to write about…oh well.  I’ll write it later if I can remember.

  1. There are days that I don’t even look in the mirror. Then I realize I have been out all day, and I have no idea what i look like. Oh, and let me tell you, it is always fantastic. Oy……

  2. I gotta give credit where credit is due-I got the recipe from my mom. We had a blast- that’s the cutest pic of Ollie. I love the look on Cade’s face in the other pic. You can tell he’s thinking “How can I get this trike away from her without drawing attention to myself or making her cry?”

  3. Awww, happy birthday to Mama and Cara!

And look at your boy — so cute!!
