I can still hear myself saying "Who cares if I have to change the batteries every other day?!?! It's the ONLY way I can get a shower!!! What do you expect me to do without THE SWING???" Pure panic is the only way to describe it. I remember crying as he folded it up and put it in the top of the closet. I still remember the day when Chris had to explain to me that Cade was OFFICIALLY too big for his baby swing. I am a mother of six kids and when my second child came along (1982) I too, found the blow-dryer to be the magical cure for the "screaming banshee". I have gone thru many a blow-dryer and in time it has come to soothe me as well. (As a matter of fact I have mine running as I write this.) In attempt to soothe the banshee on car rides, I made a cassette tape recording of the blow-dryer. Alas, that did not work as well as the real deal. We would come to stop lights, the windows down and the "music" playing.
