I have to admit I cracked up when I read this post. Not because it’s funny that you had to read a book 29 times, but because you capture the 2 year old mindset so well. It does seem like everything Cade has to say these days is in all caps with an exclamation point behind it.

Cade loves “THE FISH!” (one fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish, etc…), He also likes “KITTEN MOON!” (Kitten’s First Full Moon), “GOODNIGHT MOON!” (which is ironically enough called Goodnight Moon), “TRACTOR!” (The All About John Deer Tractors Book that my Dad bought for Cade in the attempt turn him into a Country Boy), but his absolute favorite is “KITTIES!” (My First Counting Book-it has kitties on the cover and it was a $1 Little Golden Book).

And here I was thinking I was the only one having to read the same book over and over and over and over…

I’m glad that you like the book. Jack (as always) goes for the simpler stories. The first thing I always get at naptime and bedtime is “Paul and Judy, mom? Paul and Judy?” Because you’re probably not “in the know” about Paul and Judy, it’s “Pat the Bunny.” It’s supposed to be a book for Lexi! Not Jack! Geez! At least Cara is a smart cookie (but we already knew that). Check out how she’s smart enough to know that the pig in the ballerina costume is Daddy! Bwah ha ha! That says so much!
