The Weekend and a Call for a Job

It’s Monday but surely I’m not the only one who feels like it’s Sunday? Right? Please tell me I’m not the only one.

I spent the entire weekend playing Fallout 3 and having a kick ass time of it. Ollie crawled around and was a big ole dork. He basically only seemed interested in me when he was hungry or wet/dirty. For the most part, it seemed like he enjoyed not having his sister around to grab things out of his hands and scream, “NO, OLLIE!!! MINE!!!”

Who can blame him?

Tucker got stood up by the Officer Recruiter this weekend which just seemed to add to his funk. After putting over 200 resumes out there, this was one annoyance that he didn’t need.

I understand that the economy had taken a major dump and that there are a lot of people applying for the same position, but I wish that someone would toss the boy a bone. Tucker’s one of those guys who is extremely smart and great at getting to the heart of the matter. He would truly be an asset to any company. We just have to figure out how to convince said companies of how awesome he is.

I shredded by myself on Saturday night and then took a night off last night. Tonight is another night off since I’m being a lazy ass. I can tell a difference in the way that some of my clothes are fitting-my maternity jeans are rather baggy-so that should be incentive to take Fallout 3 out of the PS3 and pop the shredding DVD in. I’ve also lost five pounds since we started this thing and that’s without me messing with how I’ve been eating.

Cara’s home now and asleep and Ollie’s in bed. This time change thing doesn’t seem to have screwed with them too much but I find myself looking at the clock and thinking that it’s an hour earlier than it actually is. The time confusion isn’t helped by the fact that half of our clocks still have the old time displayed.

We’re stuck in a holding pattern right now. A state of suspended animation if you will.

We’ve almost totally paid off our credit card debt and the debt that we have left is our SUV’s note and student loans. We have rock-star credit and are prime candidates for home ownership. Except for the pesky issue of Tucker not having a job.

Since no where around here is hiring, Tucker’s expanded his search nationwide and is considering expanding it globally. Taste Like Crazy from Germany? That might be an option if nothing within the US opens up.

So, I’m putting this out there for shits and giggles. If you know of a company that is hiring for management and/or marketing [Tucker’s degree is in Marketing Management] then email me at Crazy@TasteLikeCrazy.com.
