No Ice Cream

Caroline has a sweet tooth rivaled only by her father’s.

Because of Tucker’s habit of finishing off a HUGE tub of ice cream in like two days, we normally don’t have it in the house. But, for some reason, on our last trip to Target I bought us some ice cream and Tucker suggested ice cream cones since the kids had never had one.

I bought one of those big buckets of ice cream and expected it to last for at least a week. It almost made it that long.

In addition to having a rather large sweet tooth, Cara also has a problem with finishing her dinner. Meaning she usually doesn’t eat anything.

And yet, she still expects to get dessert. Do I have the only kid who says she’s not hungry until she hears what we might have for dessert? I didn’t think so.

Night before last she ate five green beans and demanded ice cream. Ollie and Tucker – who had both finished their dinner like good little boys – were having ice cream cones and Cara obviously felt she deserved one as well.

Tucker said no. I said no. Rinse and repeat.

This was Cara’s response.

  1. ah, the memories. by the way did you get any more ice cream? because the kids really wanted more.

    • Heck no, I didn’t. Especially after the performance Cara put on.

And I think it’s sad you’re blaming the kids for your ice cream fix. 😉

  2. Bwah ha ha! Jack would NEVER do that… nosiree… wait… did you ask if my kid would not eat his dinner and then demand dessert? OR… eat FIVE green beans? Not a chance in hell Jack would EVER five whole green beans!

Scream like a child posessed by the devil over ice cream? He is his father’s son… (so, yes… ) 🙂

  3. Poor Cara!!! I can’t believe you mistreated her like that! Her face has “injustice” stamped all over it. You’ve gotta frame the pouty picture. It’s just too good!!!
