I made some spirits PR contacts when I wrote for b5media and amazingly enough, they still email me with sweet cocktail recipes and have been know to send me the occasional bottle of amazing booze.
Since these cocktails have been sitting in my in-box for a little while just waiting for the perfect time to be used, I figured what time could be more perfect than Memorial Day weekend?
- 1 part Absolut Mandarin
- 3 parts orange juice
- 1 part Hiram Walker Triple Sec
Fill a shaker with ice. Add everything in. Shake and then strain into chilled glasses filled 1/2 was with crushed ice. Garnish with a slice of lemon.
This is one of those things that can made in batches. Just keep the ratios the same and you should be good.
- 4 parts Absolut Citron
- 2 parts lemon juice
- 2 parts Hiram Walker Triple Sec
- 1 part simple syrup
Fill a shaker with ice cubes. Add everything. Shake and then strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a curl of lemon peel.
Hope these give you a couple of ideas for something new to try this weekend when you get tired of beer and the boring ole margarita.
