Wisk Says, “Go Away, Lip Gloss!”

This is the last post in the Wisk Stain Spectrum series of reviews. You can find the other three here: Pre-Review of Wisk with StainSpectrum Technology, Wisk Protein Science Experiment [this is my mom’s favorite] and Wisk Carbohydrate Lab Tailgate Party Experiment.

The subject for today’s demonstration was oil stains and I was sent a compact mirror, hand towel, lip gloss and a bag in which to store it all. Good thing about the mirror, towel and lip gloss since the only towels we have are the full-sized breed and the kids ate all of my lip gloss.

The process was a pretty straightforward deal: put on some lip gloss, blot your lips on the provided towel and then use Wisk to remove the stain.

Step 1: On goes the lip gloss.

Step 2: Kiss the towel.

Step 3: Pre-treat the lip gloss stain.

Step 4 was to scrub the stain for between 15 and 30 seconds and then rinse the towel in warm water until the bubbles went away. I didn’t take any pictures of that step since I took all of these pictures with my phone and have NO desire to get my phone up close and personal with H2O.

Clean towel! And it smells good, too.

Right after this picture, Cara commandeered the hand towel and I haven’t seen it since; at least the towel’s clean.

The thing that makes me the happiest about this project is Wisk worked just like they said it would. In fact, it worked better than they said it would. I have a couple of shirts that I wear ALL OF THE TIME and they had random grease spots on them from me wearing them while frying chicken or bacon or something like that.[1]

After the video Cara and I did, I went kinda crazy with that pipette and started going after old stains when I would see them. Those two shirts with the bacon fat stains on them? Yeah, those stains are gone now. Same story for some stuff I had with old blood and a couple of random marker stains. All of the clothes had been laundered many, many times.

I’m not saying it’s like the miracle detergent or anything cause I’m sure there’s bound to be a stain whose stain butt it can’t kick but I haven’t found that stain yet.

*Disclaimer: I’m being compensated with real money for this series and I received the bottle of Wisk in the video so I could honestly review the product BUT as my Review Policy says, I’m honest with my reviews and if I didn’t think Wisk rocked, I’d say so. Check out #3 on the Review Policy page if you’re confused.*

  1. [1]I’m pretty certain it was probably bacon since you can never go wrong with bacon.
