Not my labor day, but Cara’s.

Actually, these are from yesterday but they’re new to you.

We had to go and get our infant carrier from Tucker’s parents’ house and Tucker decided to wash the SUV and vacuum it out since we have apparently acquired a family of ants.

Anyway, since Tucker doesn’t believe in child labor laws, he put poor Cara to work.

He should be ashamed of himself.

What does this picture say to you?  [The kennel door is open, by-the-way.]

To me, it means that the end of the summer is getting damn close and the beginning of Fall is on its way.

Let me explain.

We live in Arkansas and Arkansas is usually unbearably hot from sometime in May until sometime in September.  But, yesterday was a fluke and it freakin’ ROCKED!

Our back door was open almost all day.  The windows were open.  The ceiling fans were on.  I wasn’t sweating my ass off.  [Sophie's kennel is blocking the door so that Oscar the Cat doesn't escape.]

Cara and I went to Millington yesterday.

Apparently, I am incapable of being away from Tucker for longer than 24 hours.  Just to be 100% clear here, I’m not dependent upon his dumbass for my happiness but things are rather boring around here when he’s gone.

[Glad we're clear on that one cause I was starting to sound a bit pathetic.]

So, yeah, Millington.

I know I’m a big ole whiny ass and all of that BUT you keep coming back.  SO, you either enjoy reading my bitching OR you enjoy my OVERUSE of capitalization.  [It's definitely the last one.]

There’s been tons of stuff posted on the internet recently on the heels of Blogher about being a positive influence with your blog and changing the world and lots of other shiny, happy things.

I will admit that I am rather jaded when it comes to all of that.

Today is a study in ADD.

You have no idea what I’m talking about so I shall explain.

This morning my mom called and asked Cara and me to breakfast - Cracker Barrel.  [Give me a break, ok?  This is the South and it's a law that you must eat at Cracker Barrel at least once a week.]  We ate, we talked, we had a generally pleasant time.  Since I had an OB appointment today, Mom offered to keep Cara.

Sweet!

I just got some really good news from my mom.

As I’ve written many times in the past, we’re trying to find a house to buy when we move back to Arkansas.

I have the pre-approval financing paperwork sitting on my desk right now. I know I need to fill it out, but right now I think I’d rather have a couple of teeth pulled.

Anyway, back to Mom and her news.

She called to shoot the shit and mentioned that one of my uncles is “highly” interested in working out a lease-purchase agreement with us.

Mom left about three hours ago. She’s been here since Saturday or Sunday and we’ve had a pretty good visit.

Yesterday, Cara, Mom and I all went down to St. Augustine and walked ourselves stupid; my feet still hurt.

I just felt like bitching a bit.

From now on you won’t be reading about my feelings on Mom. She’s asked that I don’t talk about her since you would only have my opinion/take on the issue and she wouldn’t be able to defend herself. Whatever. I’ll do what she asks. So, if she pisses me off, I’ll just write “Mom pissed me off today but I’m not going to write about it because she asked me not to.” [I know I’m not supposed to end a sentence with “to”…sue me]
