Picture Day

Hey! Haven't seen you here before. Welcome to Taste Like Crazy! You might want to subscribe to my RSS feed so you don't miss anything. Feel free to leave a comment, read through the archives, and enjoy yourself. Hope to see you again soon.

Here is a shot of the Rose Damask Orange side of my Baby Hawk.

My “serious” face is actually me realizing that while I cleaned the bathroom yesterday, I completely forgot to clean the mirror.Rose Damask Orange Baby Hawk

This is the other side of the carrier.

The pattern is called Cream Bascha.  Doesn’t that have a nice ring to it?

In addition to loving the fact that the mirror is dirty, I love that my camera makes everything an odd color when I use it in my bathroom with no flash.

Pitbulls for Palin

You gotta admit it’s catchy.  :)

Someone’s Having a Very Bad Day

I’m not quite sure where the rest of her is located but I do know that she’s having a very bad day.

Clean Water and Other Random Things

I’m currently reading The Ghost Map.  It’s about a major cholera outbreak in London in the the middle part of the 19th Century.  How’s that for light bedtime reading?

In my defense, Tucker’s reading Bitten which is about…well…bites.  Spider bites.  Ferret bites.  Snake bites.  Human bites.  Pretty much any and every bite that you can think of.

Yeah.  The point…where the hell did I hide that?

I was on Twitter this morning [cause that's where I always am] and JesseHambley linked to a really cool website: http://www.charitywater.org/birthdays/intro/trailer.html.

She Works Hard for the Money

I am not an economic genius; I am a writer.  [I also like to state the obvious and use brackets a lot.]

The obvious having been stated, I do know that the economy sucks ass right now.  Gas prices are at an all-time high, food prices are through the roof and the mei-tai that I want costs like $100.

So, in an effort to help people [specifically bloggers] out, Kristen has started the “Blog the Recession” dealio.

We Always Take It Too Far

A deep and meaningful conversation between Sarcastic Mom and myself.

Enjoy.

Six Random Things

Six random things about me since Follow That Dog asked.

  1. I spend about twelve hours a day on the computer and most of that is spent working.
  2. Right now is the only time that I’ve ever enjoyed wearing a swimsuit.
  3. I feed my child still frozen blueberries every morning because she is obsessed with them.
  4. I miss riding horses.
  5. I LOVE to cook but HATE doing dishes.
  6. I really dislike that people are scared of my dog.  She’s scared of Chihuahuas for Christ sake! [I had to Google how to spell chihuahua.]

Pink Haired Amazon

Do you know this lady?

A while back I bought her off of eBay from some “mommy blogger” and I don’t remember who.  All I DO remember is that the blogger wrote a funny post about putting this pink haired lady on eBay and I just couldn’t help myself.

The reason I ask is I’d like to say “thank you” since Cara LOVES this amazon lady.  Cara carries [say that three times fast] this doll around and gives her kisses over and over.  Occasionally Cara will whack the dog with the doll but for the most part, the doll is cherished.

ADD or Stream of Consciousness

Today is a study in ADD.

You have no idea what I’m talking about so I shall explain.

This morning my mom called and asked Cara and me to breakfast - Cracker Barrel.  [Give me a break, ok?  This is the South and it's a law that you must eat at Cracker Barrel at least once a week.]  We ate, we talked, we had a generally pleasant time.  Since I had an OB appointment today, Mom offered to keep Cara.

Sweet!

Definitely Need to Go Grocery Shopping

FoodThis morning was one of those mornings when you wake up and realize that you’re out of food.  When I say “out of food” I mean that what is in the fridge probably should have been tossed last month and what’s not growing a new civilization is a condiment.

Cara, the fetus and I all needed breakfast so we took a fun filled trip to McDonald’s.  It’s not a usual thing so the fast food guilt didn’t take hold…especially when my stomach was making more noise than Cara.
