That’s right, folks. There’s a day in this fine nation just for vodka. A day that celebrates the crystal clear, almost tasteless spirit that has kept folks in the “vodka belt” company for…well…a really long time. [Since 1405, maybe?]
Russian Standard Vodka sent me these recipes–hence their brand of vodka being used in all of the cocktails.
Preparation:
Muddle basil and sugar in a highball glass. Add Russian Standard Vodka, lime juice and ice and stir well. Top with soda and garnish with remaining basil.
Relax Me
Ingredients:
1.5 Russian Standard Vodka
1 oz banana liquor
1 oz peach liquor
2.5 oz orange juice
.5 oz grenadine
cherry
an orange slice
Preparation:
Shake Russian Standard Vodka, banana liquor, peach liquor, and orange juice gently over ice. Pour grenadine over ice in a highball glass. Add vodka mixture and garnish with orange and cherry.
The Fountain of Youth
Ingredients:
1.5 oz Russian Standard Vodka
splash of lemon juice
2 oz pomegranate Juice
mint leaf or a lemon twist for garnish
Preparation:
Shake Russian Standard Vodka, lemon juice and pomegranate juice gently over ice. Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with a mint leaf or lemon twist.
