Bink and Gollie Kids’ Book Review and Giveaway

Share:

Bink and Gollie was sent to us a few weeks ago with the press release giving the suggested age rang of between six and eight. Old for CaraBink and Gollie Childrens' Book but we’ve never payed much attention to age suggestions on stuff.

Glad I didn’t let the age range scare me off.

The story is about two friends – Cara insists they’re sisters – who go on adventures and eat lots of pancakes.

The first thing I was struck by was the quality of the book; this isn’t a book with pages that kids can easily rip. The colors are bright and the illustrations have a messy, endearing quality.

Keep in mind I took those two pictures with my phone – which has no flash – and the actual book’s pages are bright white. I just wanted you to get an idea of what the book looked like. If you head to Bink and Gollie’s website, you’ll be able to flip through some of the pages.

The book trailer does a great job of introducing you to the book and even has the author read one of the stories from the book to you.

Bink and Gollie is one of those books that’s read around here on a daily basis. Ollie loves it just as much as Cara does and Cara thinks the words in the books are funny – “big” words like implore – and I get to define them each time we read the book.

When the publisher sent me Bink and Gollie to read and review, they said they’d send a copy to one of you guys if I wanted to do a giveaway and of course I do! Y’all are going to love this book…OK, one of you is going to love this book.
